Podcast - Episode 46 - Mitigating Risks Of Climate Change Impacts On Your Family

You Are Here Because You Believe Birth Is About Making Mums Too.

Expert Interview with Dr Dwan Vilcins

As a Newborn Mother, you are being invited to reinvent yourself because when a baby is born so is a mother, and the birth of a mother can be more intense than childbirth. You'll learn how to find peace and joy in the first 40 days after birth and how your postpartum experience can change your life.

Dr Dwan Vilcins is an environmental epidemiologist at the Children’s Health and Environment Program at the University of Queensland. Her work explores the effect of environmental exposures on children’s growth and health outcomes. With a background in nutrition and public health, Dwan believes that healthy individuals and healthy communities are important goals and should be viewed in a holistic way. As a mum to two young children, Dwan understands the importance of raising healthy kids and believes strongly in the protection of children from environmental exposures. Dwan is a junior board advisory member for the Pacific Basin Consortium for Environment and Health and a member of the World Naturopathic Federation’s Environmental Health Committee.
