When a baby is born, so is a mother.
But our current system is failing mothers. Postpartum is associated with depression, depletion, isolation and trauma. Mothers are expected to navigate a fragmented system alone, while exhausted, recovering from birth and caring for a newborn
Postpartum is a golden opportunity to set mothers, babies and their families down a path of health, wellbeing and connection - building the foundation for thriving communities everywhere.
The Select Committee on Women’s Health is accepting submissions about postpartum and other women’s health issues. This is your opportunity to share your story with the committee and tell them what you believe should change.
Submissions are due by 9 October 2026.
