Newborn Mothers is a online, global, small business run by me, Julia Jones. I am a doula, philanthropist and entrepreneur and I believe that birth is about making mums too. My business is growing rapidly, I have three young kids and I have some new, exciting projects to work on.
And I need a hand getting everything done!
About The Project
In April I am teaching a live round of my online postpartum training for professionals called Newborn Mothers Collective. We already have 200 students and I’d like to enrol another 200-300 students during this launch period in March.
I’m looking for a Project Manager to create an overall plan for the launch, keep track of all the moving pieces and manage me and my team to ensure we meet our goals with minimum stress.
I estimate this will require 60-80 hours work over 6-8 weeks, starting in February.
This is a temporary and part time position, with the possibility of expanding into the long term role of Online Business Manager if this project is successful.
The work is a flexible and remote, meaning you can work from your own home in your own time. However there may be some tight deadlines and last minute tasks. You would need reliable internet and be happy to work slightly random hours as we have customers all over the world. You'd also need to be available for peak periods around launch dates.
You love organising and planning, turning a vision into reality and tracking analytics to inform future strategy.
You are motivated and excited by big goals, thrive on a challenge and love learning on the go.
You are a clear communicator and can give and handle direct feedback. You get along well with others, but you also get things done.
You work independently and effectively, and come up with creative solutions with little oversight or management.
This is not for you if…
You don’t need to be an online marketing expert, but you do need to understand the basics of online launching and eCourses. If you aren’t already familiar with email funnels, sales pages, lead magnets and pay-per-click advertising this isn’t the job for you.
If you want to be the front woman this isn't right for you, this is definitely a 'side-kick' kind of role. You need to be happy watching from the wings knowing the show is able to go on because of all your meticulous behind-the-scenes work.
If you are overwhelmed and at capacity in your life then this isn’t going to work for you. You need to be able to handle stress and tight deadlines with a problem-solving and positive attitude.
Project Manager Responsibilities
- Creating the overall launch plan in Asana including all the nitty gritty detail (emails, ads, graphics, webinars, bonuses, sales page copy, timelines)
- Managing and allocating tasks, priorities and deadlines throughout the launch.
- Managing the team including my virtual assistant, Facebook ads manager, and customer service. Ensuring their work is high quality and on time.
- You would also manage me and my deadlines! And liaise between me and the team.
- Testing everything before anything goes live, and troubleshooting if anything breaks.
- The role may involve some more general VA work my team can't manage it all, but your priority would be the management tasks.
