Indigestion is such a common complaint from new mums and these veggies will treat your tummy kindly after you have had a baby. When well cooked these veggies are sweet, grounding, juicy and easy to digest. You'll probably notice that they are the same veggies that you start weaning babies with!
Most of the veggies are cooling, and new mums tend to needs lots of warmth, which is why garlic and ginger are on the list too. When well-cooked garlic and ginger are warm and sweet (not hot) and really help with digestion. And as long as they are well-cooked baby tummies love them in your milk too.
